Our values
Summit Care Services is a person centred company that empathises with individuals, those for whom we provide care and support and those who provide that care and support.
We work in partnership with all our stakeholders – referrers, residents, their families and carers to provide the highest quality of person centred care that can be achieved. Our philosophy respects peoples’ rights for dignity, privacy and personalisation. It is informed by the best available evidence base to facilitate and encourage their ability to progress towards an optimum level of independence and wellbeing.
Our values are based on four core elements that we believe are essential for successful services:
- Resident Focus: Our services are directed by the needs, expectations and aspirations of all our residents and stakeholders – we must never forget the individuals that we are here to serve.
- Confidence: Our work is concerned with one of the most important parts of people’s lives – their health and wellbeing. We can only be successful by inspiring confidence in our ability to deliver. By this we mean the confidence of the recipients of our care, the confidence of working partners and stakeholders, the confidence of the general public and that of our employees.
- Respect and Empathy: Our residents must have a sense of belonging, participation and continuity and feel that we care for them. Respect for others, empathy and the ability to work without regard to status are essential features of our corporate culture. Our care teams are effective and efficient – guaranteeing that our patients receive the best possible care.
- Innovative Thinking: Our aim is to nurture a culture that is stimulating throughout our operations and that is conducive to continuous improvement. Our employees must feel able to show initiative and to take responsibility.
Our commitment to those individuals in our care is:
- Their voices will be the loudest that we will heard.
- They will live in a safe, comfortable and supportive environment as their home.
- They will have their own personal plan of activities.
- Their right to be treated with dignity and ensuring this will be central to all our activity.
- Their care will be effective, will evidence based and will be designed to achieve positive outcomes.
Our commitment to those who work for us is:
- They will have a safe, supportive and enabling workplace.
